Screening Services

In order to effectively screen potential employees or interim staff it is necessary to verify a candidate’s identity, ability and integrity. By using a number of different sources we are able to thoroughly assess candidate suitability using accurate and detailed information.

RMS offers an extensive range of employment checks covering the following areas:

  • Identity Checks

    We check the authenticity of a candidate’s Passport, identity documents and visa entitlement documents, to identify their eligibility to work in the UK. The UK electoral roll and official online directories are used to verify address and contact details.

  • Credit Checks

    Credit Checks are used to obtain details of any Court and Insolvency data on the candidate's credit report such as Bankruptcy Orders, County Court Judgements (CCJ's) and Voluntary Arrangements.

  • Criminality Checks

    We provide standard or enhanced CRB checks which highlight any spent or unspent convictions, cautions and reprimands plus any additional information held by local police that’s considered relevant to the role being applied for by the candidate.

  • Employment History

    Employment history is referenced using official sources. Periods of unemployment can also be checked and proof compiled for the candidates activity in those periods.

  • Education and Professional Qualification Checks

    Direct contact with the candidates awarding body or institute allows us to verify the qualifications that have been declared by the candidate. Where professional memberships are required for the role, these checks will be incorporated.

  • Contractor Limited Company Due Diligence

    Checks conducted on a contractor’s personal service company or Umbrella provider to mitigate the risk of engaging with an unsuitable contractor or company. Checks include, but not limited to:

    • Companies House registration check
    • Confirmation of adequate company insurances in place.
    • Company credit check
    • VIES VAT number validation
    • Due diligence conducted on any relevant UK legislation on EU directives that come into force during the contract period.
  • International Checks

    RMS offer international checks on candidate’s including international credit, identity, criminality and referencing checks where available.
